"Financial freedom is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world"

Why Join us?
In the heart of Kenya’s educational landscape, our association stands as a beacon of financial empowerment for teachers. We are more than just an association; we are a dedicated partner committed to the growth and sustainability of teacher-based SACCOs across the nation.
Years of experience —
Better Strategy With Quality Business.
The Kenya Teachers’ Sacco’s Association was formed in 2007 and registered in 2011 under Cap 108 of the laws of Kenya as Kenya Teachers Sacco Association to provide a collaborative forum for sharing and learning from one another, as well as addressing operating challenges of the primary member SACCOs. We unite the numerous teacher-based Savings and Credit Cooperative Societies that dot the Kenyan landscape. We are a central hub, where these individual SACCOs can come together, share their experiences, and learn from one another.
In the bustling world of Kenyan education, teachers often face unique financial challenges. KETSA steps in to provide a collective voice, advocating for the interests of its member SACCOs. It’s a place where operational hurdles are discussed, and solutions are forged. Through advocacy, training and knowledge-sharing, KETSA empowers these SACCOs to thrive, ultimately strengthening the financial foundation of the teachers they serve.
More About Us
KETSA started an office in May 2017 and was located at Lonak Business Centre in Kasarani and had only one staff. In October 2021, KETSA relocated to a new, larger office space at Kenya Police Sacco Plaza in Nairobi to better serve its member Sacco and partners with more staff. We have ensured that the office is in a conducive environment for day-to-day office operations. KETSA has experienced significant developments in membership growth and engagement from 12 member Saccos in 2017 to 28 member Saccos in 2024. One of our fundamental goals for the continued growth and success is to expand our membership base by attracting the non-member teachers Saccos. We are still working towards onboarding all the teachers Saccos to the association and we have laid our strategies toward increasing our membership.
Our Vision
Our vision is to advocate for the interests and challenges affecting the member SACCOs in their day-to-day operations of their business and to be the leading Association in Kenya championing Sacco growth.
Mission Statement
To innovatively promote unity and social economic growth to Sacco fraternity through advocacy, resource mobilization and investments, for maximum shareholders’ returns.
